![]() ![]() It can be easy to overlook, but a resource cost reduction on Yang's recurve, the bonus earthquake damage on Blade of the Tribes, bonus explosive blast damage on Wand of Woh they all have one thing in common, that bonus doesn't go to the cube, which is why you equip those items, not cube them and equip a “better” alternate weapon. Unique bonuses also exist on some legendaries. With that said, a perfect rolled normal jewelry piece can be better than ancient (amulet with socket, critical hit chance, critical hit damage, and cooldown reduction doesn't use an ancient stat range). See the kanai's cube section for more detail. The second is that is can be augmented to get even more stats. The first is that your main stat ranges are higher, so it has more Strength and Vitality it does NOT have more cooldown reduction, critical hit damage, etc. Ancient legendaries bring two things that are important to your build. Ancients are just like a regular legendary in function.Use the build suggestions, ask someone if you want to know why a certain item is better for you. Sometimes a “better” item is actually a lot worse for you. Those +damage % and -toughness% numbers don't factor in passives or synergies. Sheet dps doesn't tell the whole story.Getting good gear is important, but it's also important to know what constitutes good gear in diablo 3. This assumes you have most (or all) of a build complete, and you want to be able to progress into the more difficult end game (>GR60, farming TX or higher). I am back with a more complete look at optimizing your gear for end game pushing. Perhaps you have seen my new player guide. ![]()
